Alone with Phone

I can tell by my wifes hazy eyes, and twirling ankles, she is talking to Grant. "Yes. I will tell him," she whispers, and quietly hangs up.

There is a far away element to her bodylanguage, and her voice betrays a hint of nervousness (though I am 100 times more nervous than her) , my wife informs me.
"That was your friend, Grant, he will be picking me up at 10pm. He wants to take me out dancing at nightclubs all night. .... I better get dolled up" she whispers, and slinks toward the bedroom.

I stare in slack-jawed shock and awe. Paralyzed with nervousness. I watch my wife begin her glamor and beauty regimen, to look like a million at the clubs.... with him.
